Black and White Silk Scarf

Maison Nazanin - Reclining Lady - 100% Silk Scarf

Inspired by the quiet elegance of Persian drawing, Reclining Lady captures a moment of repose, where form, gesture, and atmosphere come together in gentle harmony. The figure, at ease within her setting, conveys a sense of stillness that is both intimate and composed.

Printed on pure silk, the scarf carries this softness with fluid grace, offering a piece that feels both serene and refined, an interpretation of timeless femininity. This large scarf can be worn around the neck or waist and in many other ways.

• 100% pure Habotai silk
• Hand-rolled hems
• Smooth finish with elegant drape
• 123 x 86 cm
• Crafted in small production runs

The design on this scarf is our reinterpretation of an early 17th Century drawing of a reclining lady by the Persian artist Riza ‘Abbasi. He is considered to be the last great master of the Persian miniature genre. He is best known for his singular depictions of beautiful young men and women for muraqqa (albums).

The original drawing which inspired this design is now in the possession of the Harvard Art Museums, Massachusetts.
