Black and White Silk Scarf

Lion and Antelope

The image on this scarf is our reinterpretation of an pen-and-ink drawing and watercolour depicting a lion attacking an antelope. Dating from the second half of the 16th Century and by an unknown artist, it is believed to have emanated from Eastern Turkey, but it could also have been created in North West Persia.

The original drawing which inspired our design is now in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City.
