A striking silk scarf inspired by the drama and movement of Persian epic painting — designed to bring energy, depth, and individuality to both everyday and occasional wear.

Bold and intricate, the Dragon and Chariot design captures a moment of tension and triumph, translating the richness of Persian miniature painting into a wearable, expressive piece.


In the scene depicted on this scarf, the hero Isfandiyar confronts a dragon while on a quest to rescue his sisters. The dragon swallows the chariot, but Isfandiyar prevails and strikes the dragon on the head, from which a poisonous smoke emerges. The story comes from the Shahnama stories by the 11th Century Persian poet Abu'l Qasim Firdausi. The original painting, by an unknown late 17th Century Persian artist, is now possessed by the Rhode Island School of Design Museum.

For this scarf, the flagship for our first collection, we offer customers a choice of three different types of silk: Crepe de Chine is a lightweight, soft silk ideal for summer that drapes delicately and ties easily. Twill Madder draws on the traditional Twill silk staple for scarves, but with a slightly more muted sheen. This silk exudes luxury, but ties well. Crepe backed Satin features a smooth, glossy satin front that radiates elegance, while the paler textured crepe back is soft against the skin. Perfect also for display.
